What does an n8n and Make.com automation agency do?

An n8n and Make.com automation agency designs, builds, tests and maintains the workflows that move work between your business tools, so leads, bookings, invoices and reports update on their own instead of being copied by hand. The platform is the easy part. The real work is deciding what is worth automating, mapping each step, writing the messages customers receive, and planning what happens when a step fails.

That is the work we do. We start from the process your team runs today, agree in writing what the automation should and should never do, and then build it in whichever platform fits. If a simpler tool, or a feature already built into software you pay for, would do the job, we tell you. New to the idea? Our guide to AI for small business covers where automation fits.

What can you automate with n8n or Make.com?

Most of the repetitive admin that sits between your tools: getting new inquiries into your CRM, sending reminders, chasing quotes and invoices, keeping records in sync and pulling reports together. Each workflow has a defined point where a person stays in charge.

WorkflowWhat it doesA person stays in charge of
New lead intakeSends web form, ad and email leads to your CRM, replies right away and alerts the right personUnusual requests and custom quotes
Bookings and remindersConfirms bookings, sends reminders and follows up after a no-showRescheduling exceptions and cancellations
Quote and invoice follow-upNudges unanswered quotes and overdue invoices on a set scheduleDiscounts, disputes and write-offs
Data entry between toolsCopies orders, jobs and client details between your CRM, spreadsheets and accounting softwareRecords that fail a check you defined
Weekly reportingPulls numbers from several tools into one summary in your inboxWhat the numbers mean and what to do next
AI steps inside workflowsSorts incoming emails, summarizes calls and drafts repliesApproving anything sensitive before it is sent

These are examples of what can be built, not a fixed menu. If a process follows the same rules most of the time, it can usually be automated. For lead follow-up in particular, see our lead capture and follow-up agents.

Should your business use n8n or Make.com?

Use Make.com if you want a fully hosted, visual tool that your own team can open, read and adjust. Use n8n if your workflows have many steps or run at high volume, if you want the option to keep data on a server you control, or if you need AI steps with approval checkpoints.

The two platforms also charge differently. Make's pricing page says that "every time a module in a scenario performs an action, it consumes credits," so a scenario with many steps uses more credits per run. n8n's pricing page says "an execution is a single run of your entire workflow," however many steps it has.

Plan details were checked on October 25, 2026, and both companies change them, so check the pricing pages before you decide. We recommend a platform on the strategy call, based on your volume, your budget and where your data needs to live. Weighing Zapier as well? Read our n8n vs Zapier comparison.

Can n8n and Make.com run AI agents safely?

Yes, if the workflow is built so that a person approves anything risky. Both platforms can send text to an AI model inside a workflow, for example to sort an email, summarize a call or draft a reply. The safety comes from what the AI is allowed to do on its own, and what has to wait for a person.

n8n's documentation on human-in-the-loop explains: "You can require human approval before an AI Agent executes a specific tool." The workflow pauses until someone approves, and the request can arrive in tools like Slack, Gmail, Microsoft Teams or WhatsApp. We use the same rule on both platforms: the AI can read, sort and draft, and a person approves before anything involving money, complaints or sensitive information goes out. Our guide to what an AI agent is explains how agents differ from simple automations.

Who owns the workflows when the project is done?

You do. We build in an n8n or Make.com account that your business controls, document what each workflow does and who owns it, and set up alerts so a failed run is noticed the same day rather than weeks later.

No black boxes. You see what we are building, approve how it behaves and own the results. If you later bring the work in-house or hand it to another developer, the workflows and the documentation stay with you.

Can you fix or take over an existing n8n or Make.com setup?

Yes. If you already have scenarios or workflows that break, cost more to run than expected, or were built by someone who has moved on, we start with a review: what each one does, where it fails and what it costs to run.

You get a plain-English list of what to keep, fix, rebuild or switch off before any work starts. Often the quickest wins are failure alerts and clear ownership, not a rebuild.

How much does n8n or Make.com automation cost, and how long does it take?

It depends on how many workflows you need, how many tools they connect and how much checking they need, so every project is scoped after a free strategy call. You get the scope, cost and timeline in writing before any work starts.

Platform fees are separate and are paid directly to n8n or Make.com, on whichever plan fits your volume. One focused workflow, such as getting every new inquiry into your CRM with an instant reply, is usually the best place to start.

How does Agentyra build an automation?

In four steps, and you approve how each workflow behaves before it touches a real customer or record.

  1. Map. A free call to find the process that costs your team the most time, then a step-by-step map of how it runs today.
  2. Design. We choose n8n or Make.com, write the rules and messages, and agree exactly where a person approves or takes over.
  3. Build and test. We connect your tools and run the workflow against real past cases, including the awkward ones.
  4. Launch and maintain. It goes live with failure alerts and documentation, and we keep it running as your tools and processes change.
